Cinco De Mayo

Today is 5 de mayo which is an important day for Mexico and for Mexican Americans living in the U.S. 5 de Mayo is not Mexico's independence its a day from a battle against France in the year 1861. The day is celebrated because Mexico beat France with a smaller army that had less tools to work with. France had a total of 6,000 troops and Mexico had a total of 2,000 troops. Mexico celebrated May 5 as a day for their victory against France. My family doesn't do much this day its just like a normal day. In school just a normal day too no one celebrates it.
